Passion Exercise

1.

The first part of this exercise is all about brainstorming.

List as many things you can think of that make you truly light up. The kind of activities or things you love to do so much, you could wake up first thing in the morning and be ready. There is some space below, but feel free to use another piece of paper if your list is long.

The next step is to whittle down that list into something more manageable.

Take time to reduce your above list to 3-5 “passions.” The best way to achieve this is to compare each of the passions you listed above. Look at 1 and 2 and think about which one you enjoy more. Keep doing this until you have chosen 3-5 passions that keep coming out on top.

Bonus Exercise:

You now have an accurate shortlist of things you are passionate about in life. If you want to take it an extra step further, you can go ahead and rank your passions by matching them with your current abilities and strengths.

Take an honest look at yourself and then figure out which passions resonate most with your current skillset and personal strengths. These are the passions that make the most sense for you to pursue.
